Best Career Options After 12th Commerce Without Maths
Best Career Options After 12th Commerce Without Maths – You Have More Options Than You Think
If you took commerce without maths in 12th, I know exactly what you are going through right now.
Relatives are saying, “Without maths, commerce is useless.”
Friends are saying, “You can’t do anything good now.”
And you are just scrolling on YouTube, searching for a real answer.
Let me tell you the truth first. That fear is completely fake.
I have two cousins. Both took commerce without maths. One is now working as a Company Secretary in Mumbai with a 7 LPA package, and the other runs his own digital marketing agency. Neither of them ever needed maths after 10th.
So trust me, not having maths is not a weakness. It just means your strength lies somewhere else. Here are the 10 best career options I personally suggest to every commerce without maths student.
1. Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) – The Safest Choice
Don’t think B.Com is boring. It’s actually the most flexible degree you can have.
If you are not sure what you want to do right now, just do B.Com. It keeps all your doors open. After B.Com, you can prepare for bank exams, SSC, do M.Com, or do an MBA.
Who is it for? If you want a graduation degree while preparing for government jobs.
Salary: 2.5 to 4.5 LPA as a fresher.
Future Jobs: Accountant, Bank PO, Tax Consultant.
2. Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) – For Future Managers
If you like wearing formals, leading a team, and working in a corporate office, BBA is for you.
In BBA, you will learn about marketing, business management, and human resources. It is a professional course, not just a theory degree. And the best part? After BBA, if you do an MBA, your salary almost doubles.
Who is it for? If you want to become a manager or start your own business one day.
Salary: 3 to 6 LPA after BBA + MBA.
Future Jobs: Marketing Manager, HR Manager, Business Analyst.
3. Company Secretary (CS) – The Most Underrated Course
Everyone talks about CA, but nobody talks about CS. And that’s your advantage.
A Company Secretary is the legal backbone of any company. No big company can run without a CS. There is zero maths involved, only company law and theory. And the respect and salary are both amazing.
Who is it for? If you are good at theory and law.
Salary: 5 to 10 LPA after becoming a qualified CS.
Future Jobs: Company Secretary in big companies like TCS, Infosys.
4. Digital Marketing – The Skill That Pays Right Now
This is 2026. Every single business, from a small shop in Dharampur to a big brand, needs digital marketing.
You don’t need any degree for this. You just need skills – SEO, Instagram marketing, Google Ads. You can learn it in 3-6 months from YouTube or a good institute and start freelancing even while you are in college.
Who is it for? If you want to start earning quickly.
Salary: 2.5 LPA to no limit if you do freelancing. I know students earning 40k per month as freelancers.
Future Jobs: Digital Marketer, SEO Specialist, Social Media Manager.
5. Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM)
If you love talking to people, love traveling, and have a good personality, this course is a goldmine.
The hospitality industry is growing super fast in India. After BHM, you can work in 5-star hotels, airports, cruise ships, and even abroad. And they never ask for maths.
Salary: 3 to 5 LPA plus tips and other benefits.
Future Jobs: Hotel Manager, Event Manager, Airport Ground Staff.
6. Event Management
Do you love organizing your friend’s birthday party or college fest? Then you can make a career out of it.
Event managers organize weddings, concerts, corporate events. It is a fun, creative, and very high-paying field if you are good at it.
Salary: Starts from 20k per month and goes up to 1 lakh per event.
7. Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication (BJMC)
If you are good at writing or speaking English, this is for you. You can become a news anchor, content writer, radio jockey, or YouTuber.
This field has no maths, only creativity.
Future Jobs: Journalist, Content Writer, Video Editor, RJ.
8. Certified Courses in Banking and Finance
You can do short-term courses like NISM, CFP (Certified Financial Planner). Banks always need people who understand finance. And for a bank job, your communication skill is more important than maths.
Future Jobs: Bank Clerk, Financial Advisor, Insurance Advisor.
9. Graphic Designing & UI/UX Designing
This is my personal favorite. Companies pay a lot of money for good design. You just need to learn tools like Canva, Photoshop, Figma.
You can learn it in 4 months and start getting clients from Instagram and LinkedIn.
Salary: 25k to 60k per month as a fresher designer.
10. Bachelor of Law (LLB)
After commerce, you can do a 5-year integrated BBA LLB or B.Com LLB. Corporate lawyers are in huge demand. Again, no maths, only logic and law.
Which One Should You Choose?
I have made a simple table for you:
| If You Are This Type of Person | Choose This Course |
|---|---|
| You want a safe and stable career | B.Com + Bank Exam |
| You want to be a boss / manager | BBA + MBA |
| You are good at theory and want high respect | Company Secretary (CS) |
| You want to earn fast while studying | Digital Marketing / Graphic Designing |
| You are creative and outgoing | Hotel Management / Event Management |
My Final Advice For You
Please stop thinking that you have fewer options. You don’t.
The students who had maths are stuck in one race – engineering, CA, etc. You are free to choose any creative and business field you want.
Don’t choose a course because your friend is doing it. Choose it because YOU like it. Take 2 days, think about what you enjoy doing, and then pick one course from this list.
Your commerce without maths degree is not a problem. It is just a different path.
Good luck.
