Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) Course, Eligibility, Fees, Salary & Scope 2026

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) – Complete Guide 2026

If you have just passed 12th with PCB or PCM and you want to stay in the medical field without doing MBBS, then B.Pharm is probably the best decision you can make.

I will be very honest with you. In my family, two people have done B.Pharm. One is now working as a Drug Inspector in Gujarat with a government job, and the other is working in Sun Pharma with a package of 8 LPA. And neither of them cleared NEET.

B.Pharm is not just about selling medicines in a medical store. It is much bigger than that. Let me explain everything to you in simple language.

What is B.Pharm?

Bachelor of Pharmacy is a 4-year professional degree that makes you an expert in medicines.

Think about it – every tablet, syrup, injection that a doctor prescribes has to be made, tested, and checked by someone. That someone is a Pharmacist.

As a pharmacist, you learn how a drug is made, what chemicals are inside it, how it works in our body, and what its side effects are. You are the bridge between the doctor and the patient.

Can I Do B.Pharm Without NEET?

Yes, 100% yes.

This is the biggest confusion students have. For B.Pharm, you do NOT need NEET in 95% of colleges in India.

NEET is only required for a few government medical colleges. For all other private and state government colleges, admission is done through:

  1. Your 12th Marks: Most private colleges give direct admission based on merit.
  2. State Entrance Exams: Like GUJCET in Gujarat, MHT-CET in Maharashtra, WBJEE in West Bengal, KCET in Karnataka.
  3. National Exam CUET: Many central universities now take admission through CUET.
  4. University Entrance Test: Universities like LPU, Manipal, Amity have their own small test.

So if you didn’t appear for NEET or didn’t score well, you can still easily get admission in B.Pharm.

B.Pharm Eligibility Criteria 2026

The criteria is very simple:

  • You must have passed 12th Science with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Maths (PCB / PCM).
